Practising sustainability
Canderel’s company-wide program On the Green Path expresses sustainability principles to the way we run our offices, manage our properties, and develop commercial and residential projects. It guides us in the efficient use of resources and the implementation of cost-effective technologies, and provides a platform for engaging in meaningful discussions.
As the property manager at NEXUS 40-13, Canderel is committed to:
- Meeting with clients to share ideas and strategies on greening the workplace
- Pursuing appropriate certification based on building performance and business needs
- Improving access to recycling services
- Tracking and assessing building performance for energy, greenhouse gas emissions and water use
- Completing building energy audits to better understand consumption
- Identifying and implementing energy- and water-efficiency measures
- Working with the city and our clients to encourage access to and use of alternative transportation
- Holding events such as electronic-waste recycling drives, going-green information sessions and Earth Hour activities
